Egg prices continue to plummet. National average is now $2.67 per dozen
- h2odragon 3y agoI saw a place selling off their "Cinnamon Queen" hens, right at the beginning of the price spike in eggs. they were trading out their flock for a different breed. "$5ea all you can haul" which was a really good price. I'm wondering if they, and other providers, had bought in on that breed expecting a couple years of production, and then decided that they weren't suitable, thin shells or something. That would've added some extra push tot he "bird flu" and other pressures that really were more headline price factors than real.
