The whole point of an ideology is to give you a way to view the world. If you didn't believe it was better than other ideologies there would be no point in that ideology. It's not self-blindness to believe in what you claim to (although that's not to say I believe what they believe).

I don’t see why these two are intertwined. You can believe in a certain idea while at the same time be open that it can be flawed or outright wrong. The point of an ideology is that something could be true. Not that something is. But maybe this is the agnostic bias in me talking.
- BasedAnon 3y agoAll that means is that you have an ideology that's further up the chain that makes you strongly oppose anyone making strong value statements, except for that people should always be open to other things as long as they don't contradict you in this principle.
