Well, if we want to be charitable;
- The GIL is a feature that adds value, and was added for a reason. (As explained elsewhere in discussion)
And, if we want to be a bit less charitable about it;
- The GIL is a feature, in much the same way training-wheels on your bike is a feature. :-)
- kzrdude 3y agoSome people need a three-wheeled motorcycle and for them a two-wheeled one is not an "upgrade". So yes, clearly different tools for different tasks.
