The big distinction made by TheFrenchGhosty is that they did not personally agree to the Youtube API T&Cs.
If Youtube were as cunning as the goobers at the Whatsapp ToS fanfic department then they would add those terms to their Youtube ToS. So if you ever went on Youtube proper and accepted their ToS when you were 5 years old trying to watch baby shark then voila you have accepted to never code anything that would hurt Youtube's bottom line.
We talk a lot about Patent trolls and our right to privacy. It's now time to talk about ToS trolls and our right to third party clients.
A lot of people like to opine about the nigh-impossible task of being a full-time OSS dev and how AI will change the world; it's time we start talking about an OSS developer Union and how there's no AI-driven utopia without a human Right to Automate.
