When you transfer a domain to Porkbun, do any pre-paid years of registration travel across with the domain transfer, or are you starting "from scratch" in that regard?
- brycewray 3y agoIn my case, it added a year to my existing renewal date for each domain.
- blooalien 3y agoNice! So, not only no loss involved, but there's a bonus added? Guess Porkbun's gettin' another happy customer soon. Saw that they also offer a few other services I'd likely use as well, so win/win for them (and me) I suppose.
- CydeWeys 3y agoIt's not a bonus, you're paying for that extra year. The way domain transfers work is, they're not free; you pay for a year of renewal as part of them.
- blooalien 3y agoSorta a bonus, as I get that extra year at Porkbun's cheaper price while losing nothing I've already paid for. ;)

- renewiltord 3y agoAll registrar domain transfers work the same: you pay for one extra year and then you can transfer. This means if your domain is registered to max years you can't transfer. Or that was my experience anyway.
- blooalien 3y agoWorks for me. Probably gonna move my domain over real soon.
