Can’t tell if this is clever propaganda to put a positive spin on this by using the words “much more”. They are still starving to death. “Much more” is relative in this case. The men are paid state sponsored wages and it’s not enough to survive on, literally. Women only make more because they are selling black market items to keep their children and families alive, and to keep their neighbors from starving to death, which, as the article says, is not even possible anymore.
