I think in some european countries the regulation says the doors must always open in the direction towards the exit. So in this case it would open outwards.

- eCa 15y agoYes. The only exception is if the door opens dangerously onto a sidewalk or similar.
- dialtone 15y agoThere's a reason why those are called 'panic doors'. When a mob is trying to escape a place you're gonna have a hard time trying swing the door inside rather than outside and usually people get trampled while trying to open it.
