After Decades of Independence, Moog Sells Out
- silveira 3y agoIf you want to try Moog without breaking the bank, I highly recommend their apps for iOS.
- z5h 3y agoAgreed. The original Animoog iOS synth came out in 2011, and was (still is) one of the best sounding and most innovative iOS synths. (Of course they have a V2 and many other apps out there now.)
- nielsbot 3y agoDoes the headline still apply? There's a correction posted at the start which says Moog was owned by other companies starting in 1971 before Robert Moog re-took ownership in 2002.
- nielsbot 3y agoAlso--I highly recommend "Analog Days: The Invention and Impact of the Moog Synthesizer". They cover the history of the synthesizer and the companies that made them, including their ups and downs in the market. (Moog, ARP, and others.)
