This is an interesting piece.
I guess the programming equivalent of Reeves’s approach to John Wick would be a programmer spending a few weeks in simply becoming an expert in any new technologies they may have to adopt for a new project and then starting the project once they’re really good at the technologies, frameworks, etc concerned.
- NKosmatos 3y agoThat’s exactly how I understand it as well. The bad thing is that with the modern ways of working and with the fast paced environment, we don’t have anymore the “luxury” of dedicating project time to better ourselves. This is something that each one should/must/has to do on its own, instead of an activity that should be taken under consideration when project time plans are created ;-) I also liked this phrase from the post, “…creating things that are too good to be ignored, regardless of the setting, is an activity that almost without exception requires undivided attention”.
