This is the most confusing metaphor I've ever read lol. I thought tupperware parties were basically MLM scams from the days of yore. Are you implying that LLMs are a scam? Or that they'll end up being so popular that they fade into the general lexicon because of their ubiquity? Or just pointing out the under-appreciated fact that "LLM" is suspiciously close to "MLM"?
- fritzo 3y agoSorry for the confusion, LLMs are great. But it seems like there's a surplus of platforms and dearth of applications, like too many people (myself included) have taken advice to "sell shovels in a goldrush", and Vercel's multi level marketing campaign here is aiming to find more end consumers of AI services. (i hadn't noticed the acronyms)
- bbor 3y agoOh wow that is a really good metaphor/point, I was being a little facetious because I thought it was a joke. Thanks for the explanation!
