It is high time to close all DNS-over-HTTPS or start using mTLS (client certificate as well as server certificate).
I use DNS-over-TLS in mTLS mode and firewall both HTTP and DNS to default-deny, then add transparent HTTPS proxy server and bastion (2 process) DNS servers.
