Elon Musk Says Tesla Will Attempt Autonomous LA to NY Drive 'Soon'
- Mobil1 3y agoAlex Roy did this several years ago and found that it took longer going from west to east than it did from east to west due to the traffic at the Lincoln tunnel toll booth.
- otoburb 3y agoNYC closed their last tollbooths last year[1] so perhaps the trips both ways will be around the same time now if Alex Roy attempts them again. - lisasays 3y agoOne can only hope. There's no way this ride will be genuinely autonomous, in any case.
- klondike_ 3y agoI don't think this is particularly impressive. It'll mostly be interstate driving, which can be safely handled by most adaptive cruise control systems already. I wonder how they will handle charging along the way
