This reads like a "I know it took us a while since our last announcement of AI advancements, but here are some general topics we are trying out". As in, this is a planned leak.
Why do I think this? Because we see on HN the following:
> "Some of the ideas that were pitched, such as a security-automation tool and an engineering app that can speedily answer questions related to Amazon Web Services’ cloud products, are reportedly already in testing phases."
(1) Amazon Code Guru (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36330579 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36330579), posted about one hour ago.
> "Another leaked suggestion included in the document proposed implementing a ChatGPT-like search bar for Amazon shoppers where they can “can explain pros and cons between brands and cite and summarize user reviews,” according to Insider."
(2) Amazon using generative AI to summarize product reviews (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36317929 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36317929), posted yesterday.
> "Other suggested time-savers included using ChatGPT to auto-generate software code and marketing materials, according to the report."
(3) Amazon CodeWhisperer (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35706467 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35706467), posted about 2 months ago.
In my experience, PRFAQs are highjacked by managers to maintain and grow their own careers, at the expense of the actual author(s). This helps explain why execution routinely suffers at Amazon, because the people taking credit for the ideas are not the actual source.

Clarification: This does not include manager we'll call "dot product." Their docs and decisions are their own, along with their 50+% loss in ads revenue, twice.
