profit is the most important thing in history ?
- Aunche 3y agoYou'd think as such if you're observing the EU. They happily encourage monopolies that they profit from like LVMH and Luxottica.
- delfinom 3y agoThe EU doesn't want to talk about it's own monopolies. ASML is a funny one too, the EU gets to "have it", but the US gets to use sanctions to control it.
- emanuele232 3y agowell, not questioning that the market makers are not encouraged to make the market "fair", they wants to make the market "favorable" for its own people but i see a difference between companies that sell luxury goods (not relevant for humanity) and companies that permeates every single aspect of your life, mostly in sublte and sketchy ways, selling data of people that don't even know they generate.
- gerash 3y agoExactly, Luxottica is the worst: See this 60 min talk from a decade ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDdq2rIqAlM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDdq2rIqAlM but that does not bother EC apparently.
