This is a super weird article. She looks like a typical American tourist in the photo, even if we ignore the camera etc she's the largest person in the picture. Of course people look at her, she's novel to them. "Microaggression" is an attempt to reframe this as being an issue with Germans, not her. As the outsider it's on you to belong, not the other way around. Basically all of her complaints are classic "American on tour". Genuinely difficult to distinguish from satire.
