I dabbled a bit using AOP in college, mostly trying to get software to do new things via dynamic updates. It was the most awful paradigm to use, had to develop a test harness just to figure out the configuration and control flow for experiments. For it's very niche use cases I'm sure it's interesting, for anything else it's just too difficult.
