AppHarbor (YC W11) is looking for a developer evangelist

Mission: You'll help build and strengthen AppHarbor's brand and relationships with developer communities in the US and internationally. You'll play a critical role in extending our reach by increasing developer engagement, awareness and adoption of our platform. Responsibilities: * Attend and speak at conferences, meet-ups, user groups, hackathons etc. to represent AppHarbor. * Generate content - blogposts, articles, video tutorials etc. showing the use of AppHarbor and technologies that can be used in conjunction with the platform. * Improve and create customer resources such as APIs, knowledge base and code libraries that'll help our customers save time and money by showing them how to build better applications for the cloud. * Organize developer events for AppHarbor and collaborate with our partners and local businesses to extend our reach. * Aid in product development based on feedback gathered from developers. * Be active on our support forums and engage in technical conversations to help solve our customers problems. * Contribute to OSS. * Encourage developers and businesses to use AppHarbor and make them feel empowered. Qualifications: * Passion for software development as well as existing and emerging technologies. * Strong experience building .NET applications, DVCS. * Be an excellent organizer and have experience building communities. * Great communication, presentation and marketing skills. * Experience with cloud computing and knowledge of the market. * Be excellent at prototyping and able to quickly see opportunities for how our services can be used to meet prospective customer needs. * Has and will continue to contribute to open source software. * Fluent english speaker. * Be awesome and able to work independently and responsibly because you love what we're doing and have the mind of an entrepreneur.
