I'm probably not in the right state of mind, but my wife died less than a week ago and I've been considering exactly this. I just want to be able to talk to her a little more... I miss her very badly, and it would bring me some comfort to be able to have some final conversations even if they were just echos of past ones.
- nextaccountic 3y agoHi I'm sorry for your loss May I suggest you to write a letter for your spouse? Maybe not right now, but when you feel like talking to her It may help you cope with this
- grugagag 3y agoI second this
- grugagag 3y agoSorry for your loss. The grieving process is painful but eventually it resolves, takes time. However, comfort you’d get from having your loved one immortalized by AI may interfere with the grieving process, e.g. may develop denial and other beliefs.
- v7n 3y agoI want to apologize for my message, which I made being aware it was not exactly tasteful, although that was to some extent the point of it. I realize the message might be painful to people who are in grief. Please accept my sincere condolences.
- backtoyoujim 3y agoyour comment had me sit quietly for 10 minutes or so to reflect upon it. my thoughts kept passing and pushing around sci-fi story moments where i have seen and read that play out. i am sorry for this loss that you are going through. thresholds are rarely painless, and i hope that some compassion reaches you from us.
