This seems like a shitty thing to do. Assuming you’re not gay. It seems disingenuous to present as a member of their community on a dating app. I’m not saying don’t hang out with an LGBT crew, just don’t start it with a fake dating connection.
It’s like that woman who broke down with her boyfriend in the back woods of Norway. Couldn’t find a tow truck so she hopped on tinder. Connected with a lonely Norwegian in minutes. He came out and helped. I’m sure he was happy to help because he’s a great guy. And I’m not saying she should freeze to death, but it feels dishonest.
- predictabl3 3y ago:) I'm quite gay. Apropos of nothing, I've been seeing a lot more diversity of gender expression on Grindr lately. I think "Grindr for the straights" is likely untenable for a variety of reasons, but I wouldn't deprive them of their fun. All that said, integrity is important to me and the thought of starting a friendship or relationship on a lie is one of those things that I can't think about too much, it's dark.
