I thought all research ended in the 80s There's actually a mistake in that wiki article though. If you look at the source, it does in fact say Shulgin's friend Zeff was the first to start using it therapeutically since 1976. It says nothing about therapeutic use in the 60s, though it does mention LSD, which was used in the 60s before it was banned.
