To this day I still use BBEdit even though most of my daily meat-and-potatoes text editing and development is done in neovim. For some things it's just really nice features and UI, in particular:
- the multi-file search and replace,
- the diff tool,
- shell worksheets
and so much else.
BBEdit has always been a fundamentally fast and reliable text multi-tool and I've used it since 1994 when I first started poking around HTML and learning Perl.
