He seems to be counting on it lasting only 2 days, which if the case, is easy to ignore. 2 days was presumably based on concessions from Reddit but since not the case, then hopefully as many subreddits as possible will hold out as long as possible, as the only thing that will affect change is continuing to hit their financial bottom line. If only a few continue to protest it becomes much easier for Reddit to ignore. Appears it's in mods hands at this point.
