Ask HN: How do people deal with the tsunami of daily notifications?
- PaulHoule 3y agoMy big side project right now is YOShInOn which is a smart RSS reader. Today it ingested nearly 2000 articles, picked out 300 for me to look at, I might really look at 200 of them. The main interface looks like ‘TIkTok for text’ or like Stumbleupon. If you look at the articles that I post to HN almost all of them were picked by me working together with YOShInOn. Right now I am tuning up the duplicate article detector (as much as I want to dev for Apple Vision I don’t need 30 articles about it) and I need to build a search interface for things I’ve favorited, with that it will be worthwhile to build a bookmark let to import individual articles, … A similar system could filter other streams, I really want to remove angry toots from my mastodon stream and ideally make YOShInOn become a personal agent that takes a look at everything before I look at it.
- NoobPretender 3y agodo you have any plans to share your smart RSS reader with the community, or is it a perma-private project?
