Taxes can be progressive or regressive. That's orthogonal to my point. Climate change disproportionately hurts the poor. Not sure why you just assume I'm against the poor when nothing I suggested is inherently harmful to poor people. I also walk the talk. I made significant lifestyle changes because I care about the environment. More people would do the same if the incentives were aligned and we didn't just rely on peoples' intentions.
