- rektide 3y agoUrsala Le Guin may have borrowed the idea from someone or somewhere but she - in the 1960's I think - is where I trace my first blush with this idea to. Finding the graves of people who had bones healed was the first mark of civilization. When people cared for the severely injured, I nursed them back to health: that caring, as the earliest indicator of socialization.
