Hi Ladberg,
When you worked with Vision Pro, did it have a device native terminal and/or a device native ssh client?
What I mean by that is a terminal running under VisionOS, as opposed to getting terminal access by first connecting to a remote computer.
- joeman1000 3y agoMaybe for Apple development, but given that it’s positioned as an iOS-type device, the public will never get a native terminal on this thing. It would be unprecedented.
- drcode 3y agoI very much hope they allow sandboxed terminal access (like WSL on windows) but I expect they won't.
- joeman1000 3y agoYea no way. Unless you jailbreak. I would love it, though. The iPhone, iPad and now this thing would be great if there we could just opt to jailbreak without risks. I don’t jailbreak my phone because it’s risky and I don’t mind having it stock. The iPad would be great if I could run anything properly on it. The Vision Pro would be phenomenal. I’m thinking of all the game ports that could happen if the OS wasn’t locked down. I see their rationale in doing it, to retain control over the quality of the user-experience. But for those users who want to experiment, it just hampers their experience instead.
