Agreed, I'm waiting for a GDPR request to go through before deleting my content. For anyone else looking to export before deleting - https://www.reddit.com/set

If I have time this weekend, I want to build a tool that allows users to edit all their historic posts to display a message saying they've temporarily removed all posts from reddit until they institute reasonable API terms. Ideally it'll save all the content from all the posts into a sqlite database or something, and then can be run again to restore all the content. I don't like the idea of removing so much valuable content from the internet, but I also think Reddit is acting irresponsibly as a steward, and needs to be reminded that the content creators (aka users) are the reason their platform has the value it does in the first place.

I think that already exists, as the Power Delete Suite https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite eta: that doesn't have the restore function iirc
