I don't get how one can have a single computer. The OS is hardly the only thing that can go wrong. I toss a cup of coffee in my laptop the other week. Just switch it off (the lack of a real switch or a plug is wildly annoying here) and leave it off for a good while. Playing with different OS's is also more fun if your life doesn't depend on everything working all of the time.
