The likelihood of another Elfstedentocht keeps decreasing every year. In 2001 the Dutch National Meteorological Institute prediced between 10 and 4 events in the 21st century. Given that in the past 22 years the IPCC's predictions have only gotten more dire, the number is now probably even lower.
