An odd item to post to Hacker News. Now if there was an embedded sensor that could quantify the intensity of the exercises and prompt you on your Apple Watch when you've done enough for one session -- or to prompt you to do the exercises -- that would make for a great Tell HN item.
- LinuxBender 3y agoAn odd item to post to Hacker News. It probably is. I often see links about health, longevity, nutrition, fitness. I suspect this could be an area that has been neglected by males. Anecdotally I know many females that are very familiar with kegels and conversely if I jokingly mention to males I was the 2022 kegel champion I get confused looks and congratulated. There are health benefits to doing kegels [1][2] with the bonus that anyone can do them when sitting at a computer even if that is not the ideal position to do them. They can be done during team stand-ups. I agree there should be a way to track progress on this. I have no idea how the Apple Watch could do this but it would be an interesting thought exercise.
