For me personally it is less about the caffeine and other compounds that act as caffeine so they do not have to list dosage of the combined elements, but rather the large amounts of inactive forms of B vitamins. It is funny that super-dosing inactive B vitamins can actually lead to a B deficiency as the active form created by the liver competes with the inactive form. The end result can be a myriad of serious neurological issues. I suppose the solution would be for all the energy drinks to add the active forms P5P or PLP, 5-deoxyadenosylcobalamin or MeCbl, FMN, TPP, etc... but that might affect the cost.
Curious if anyone knows of energy drinks that already do this using the active forms of B vitamins
