I don't think there are that many fraudulent grant applications. Too many eyes and resources at stake.

Yes. Inflation in academic research has been around for a while. And nobody's doing anything about it.
- golergka 3y agoThe eyes you mention have to be independent to be effective. Laughlin was exactly such an eye, but not for long.
