I don't see how you arrive at this conclusion at all. I strongly disagree that that is likely let alone inevitable. Oss is nothing like vc-funded sw dev. The incentives and expectations couldn't be more different. Plus I find other idea of fedora or arch or debian or nixos becoming proprietary a bit laughable.
