When I'm on call, I've got to respond to slack messages in 4 different channels with a 1hour slo . Messages responded to outside the SLO get brought up at perf review. This isn't viable for some of us.
- 1_1xdev1 3y agoThat’s a pretty tough gig. What’s your title? Are you expected to write code while “on call”?
- darth_aardvark 3y agoSenior software engineer at a small company that was a startup but went public in 2021. And yes, code productivity is expected to be unaffected. And yeah, I'm looking for a new job.
