Why don't you find a video of FSD failing on a 40mph highway with no lane changes for an apples to apples comparison...
Oh wait that is an unreasonably niche scenario to be worthy of consideration in the context of full autonomy.

- fallingknife 3y agoThat road is not within the operating requirements of the Mercedes L3 which is only allowed on highways where such turns are never found.
- bhauer 3y agoPlus it's a U-turn situation on ancient version of FSD Beta from two years ago (see the dotted lines in the display, or the YouTube upload date for that matter) that did not support U-turns. And it's not necessarily clear it wasn't going to brake more abruptly if the driver had not intervened.
- Espressosaurus 3y ago2 years ago is ancient for a feature that was supposed to be delivered in 2016?
- fallingknife 3y agoThey are trying to build something that has never been built before, and your criticism is that they are late?
- Espressosaurus 3y agoYes, since they've been selling cars claiming it would be ready for the last 7 years. Nobody else is doing that, and I resent their beta-testing features with the rest of us there as unwilling participants.
- elif 3y agoIn that 3 year old build, you can see the driver disengage out of pure fear before the turn started. You can also see the route planner plotting the corner maneuver. You can then see the same software completing the corner twice when the driver does the exact same thing but merely refrains from overriding.
