Misleading headline based on this quote: “At aggregation sites, water users were found in proximity to sharks 97% of the days surveyed” (An aggregation site means a place where lots of sharks cluster.) So what it means is a shark is seen near a human just under once a day. Possibly per area, or more likely across all the areas they surveyed, because why not inflate the stats to the max.
