Completely agree. The new design looks horrible. It seems they've removed any use of shading/colour to let you know whats happening to not 'overload the user'.

Completely agree. The new design looks horrible. It seems they've removed any use of shading/colour to let you know whats happening to not 'overload the user'. Just reducing the contrast would have been enough. And if there wasn't a direct comparison between the coloured icons and the b/w ones, I would have no idea what the b/w ones would do.
