You would think Reddit would have made an AMA sorting mode that surfaces OP's answers even when they're heavily downvoted by now, since it's been a thing for years, but it doesn't seem like a priority for them.

- operator-name 3y agoReddit has a Q&A sorting mode.
- sorenjan 3y agoYes, but it doesn't seem to work very well. It still doesn't show spez's answers, and you could argue that the co-founder and long time CEO should use that sorting order in his own AMA where he knows full well he'll be heavily downvoted, but it seems to use the default "best".
- pimlottc 3y agoHis replies still appear to be hidden in the Q&A sorting mode. https://old.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/145bram/addressing_the_community_about_changes_to_our_api/?sort=qa https://old.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/145bram/addressing_...
- tedmiston 3y agoIt's turned on by default on that thread; it's just not helping much with the sheer volume of comments.
- pimlottc 3y agoIt wasn't initially; but as you noted, it didn't help much anyway.
- callalex 3y agoThe Q&A sort mode still shows the most popular questions at the top. The CEO only answered questions with an order of magnitude fewer votes than the top questions. The Q&A sort works fine, it’s just that no questions were answered.
