Is the urban legend that it started out of controlled burn at WTREX conference true? Couldn't verify, but there are also no outlets debunking it.
- WorkerBee28474 3y agoYes, but that was in Alberta. The smoke in New York is coming from fires in Ontario and Quebec, which were probably started by lightning strikes.

The 'urban legend' remains because it is constantly mentioned on right-wing 'news' sites as proof that DEI programs are dangerous to society.
