I get that you want to protest but I don’t like the idea of destroying information permanently that might not be available elsewhere, it’s really frustrating when you find a comment that seemed to give you the solution to the problem exact problem you have but it got deleted. Is there a less destructive way to do this?
- surgical_fire 3y agoSometimes destruction of something is a way forward. I think I'll do the deletion thing to my accounts. Just a bleep on the radar, but helps make Reddit a slightly shittier place.
- Timon3 3y agoI just deleted my account of 9+ years with a good number of comments. The reason is simple: I don't know of any other way for me as a user to actually do anything against Reddit, aside from not using it. But I hate the idea of a company doing a successful rug-pull while profiting off my thoughts and ideas. Sure, it's a bummer that the info is lost - but I feel that every small bit of success they have now will increase the likelihood of something like this happening again in the future.
