Fedora. Boot stick, select the drive you want to install to, click install.
- Gordonjcp 3y agoWhy would I choose Fedora over Ubuntu?
- friend_and_foe 3y agoBecause Fedora doesn't force Snap on you or try to put ads in your environment. There's also Linux Mint and Debian if you're hell bent on apt. They usually work right out of the box like Ubuntu does.
- Gordonjcp 3y agoUbuntu doesn't put ads in your environment, and I want snap and cannot understand why anyone wouldn't. If you can't install snap packages, your distro is useless.
- friend_and_foe 3y agoWell, most linux users and computer users in general disagree with you. I personally loathe snap and will not use software that is packaged only in snap. I use my distro just fine, far from useless. But you're free to add snap to anything you like. The problem with Ubuntu is forcing it on users, not simply that snap exists.
- Gordonjcp 3y agoCan you explain what you think is wrong with snap?
- ragingrobot 3y agoYou didn't ask in your previous comment why you would want X over Ubuntu. You asked what other distro would get you going as quickly as Ubuntu.
