How many branded manufacturers are there of the 4 B compatible-designs? 1 or N?
If it's 1, it seems like they're purposefully keeping production output artificially low to maximize profits which is antithetical to the ethos of the RPi, IOW, it seems like it's gone completely corporate chasing $$$. $200 when it should be $50.
- geerlingguy 3y ago1, but that factory is currently constrained on BCM2711 chips, which means no matter how many factories, there won't be extra Pis. They are ramping back up and will be at 1M units per month by next month.
