Even without ring, Las Vegas is covered in cameras only to be outdone by London or Beijing. I am leaning towards a green flare/firework and a hoax call. I know the idea is exciting to many but I am not looking forward to the day it isn't a hoax because the first thing our government will do is mandatory lock-downs until they know what pathogens the visitors brought with them and the visitors may not be thrilled to have their bodily fluids tested. I'm not worried about the visitors. If they were intelligent enough to make it here and did not attack unprovoked then they are probably otherwise mostly harmless.
