Literally the one thing I want is no huge screen. I don't mind a screen so long as it's not the size of a tablet, it has actual proper push buttons, and there are normal gauges for everything important. What's so hard about that?
- JoeAltmaier 3y agoAgreed. Actual buttons have to be many times cheaper than what's essentially an entire laptop. My local parking garage has put screens on the ticket machines on the entrance and exit. What do they have on the screen? Nothing at all important. Something about 'touch here for a ticket' and it's not a touchscreen. You press a metal lighted button to get a ticket. All the screen does is...I'm not sure. It's entirely pointless. And they added it. The exit is similar. Tiny words that have no bearing on what you have to do to get out. Something about putting your ticket in a slot, but instead you have to wave it in front of a sensor about 6 inches from the machine. They had to have actual people stand there for a couple of days and show you how. What is this world coming to.
