I used to subscribe to my local paper - weekly print edition for this purpose. But they stop doing print due to low circulation. I've removed news apps from my phone so I'm not constantly trying to "keep up". My local library provide free subscriptions to weekly magazines, but also don't want to remember to open up the tablet. And paying for them aren't cheap!
