Well as someone whom had formal education taken from me at around 11-13 years I am not sure that I am better off having worked instead of going to school. In fact when I look around at my peers surprisingly they're more prepared for the rigor of an advance education that is required for more intellectually interesting and rewarding work. Meanwhile I'm left with back injuries for the rest of my life and lack easy access to non-physical labor work.
