How would you even benchmark this in software world?
Companies, teams, products or even months differ strongly
- allturtles 3y agoYes. So why is there so much confidence (in both directions) in this thread about the productivity impact of remote work? It seems people are just projecting their own biases or experiences as universalizable facts.
- tester756 3y agoI'm not sure about productivity, but remote work makes my life better by shitton. I sleep more, I have way way more time, I don't have to spend money on transport. And at the end of the day I'm still working in mostly international setting across whole globe, so is remote really this big problem?
- jmcomets 3y agoIt's a mix of bikeshedding (many people experienced remote work during the COVID lockdowns) and there being no data available for this. Also consider who would be more likely to respond in this thread: people heavily invested in or against remote work (since there is no actual data).
