- bart_spoon 3y agoNo, it’s not guns. They probably don’t help, but I think that’s way too simplistic. I’m not worried at all about having a gun pulled on me in San Francisco, but it can feel quite unsafe at times due to rampant drug use and untreated mental illness, burglary and theft, and general unsanitary conditions. I think it’s far more deep rooted in an American culture of hyper-individualism and anti-social behavior, said untreated mental illness and drug addiction, and poverty. Take guns away and I think 90% of the problem remains.
