come to think of it this would hide transfers between similar ranking networks where companies swapped things out.
- joveian 3y agoI think the thing to do there is to require that the controlling owner of the brand be mentioned in non-tiny print near the most prominent mention of the brand.
- account42 3y agoBetter yet, make it so each independent company only gets one trademark and companies owned by another get none. The entire purpose of trademarks is to protect consumers. Being able to use them to mislead consumers is the opposite of that.
