How difficult are these drugs to make? There is so much talk about the high retail costs, but I’m not seeing talks about the manufacturing costs, which should give some idea about how much they will cost to buy a few years from now.
- jfengel 3y agoThey're not especially difficult to make. The expense is all in the discovery, testing, and regulatory proof. Some of these drugs are already in the public domain, but the newer versions work better, and work is ongoing. You'll be able to buy generic Victoza next year, for example, but you'd still probably want the Ozempic if you could get it. Or better, some of the double and triple combinations coming soon.
